Geologisk Museum

The Geological Museum, housed in a structure designed in the Italian Renaissance style, is located not far from the Botanisk Have’s eastern end. It was founded in 1893. Rosettes, columns, and arches are some of its stone ornaments.

The meteorites on show in the courtyard, the largest of which was discovered in Greenland in 1963 and is the sixth largest in the world, are among the first displays. Other exhibitions include those on butterflies, dinosaurs, and the solar system, as well as two rotundae that are each separately painted. The museum shop sells colorful stones and rock crystals
